A special thanks to Adja, who went above and beyond to prepare a delicious meal that brought everyone together around the table. Your culinary efforts were deeply appreciated and added so much warmth to the day.
The house was beautifully transformed with festive and fun decorations, creating a magical holiday atmosphere. We are so grateful to Trust and his care team including Remi, Carolie, Jamama, Kumba, Siah and Thomas for their dedication, kindness, and the touches that made this special for all. You made everyone feel at home and truly captured the spirit of the holidays. Thank you for everything you do to create a supportive and loving environment not just during the holidays but all year round! We are truly blessed and give thanks everyday for those who keep our loved ones safe, cared for and loved.
We wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season and all good things in the new year. - The Dobrowski Family"
For over a decade, Peter was unable to visit our home, but after moving to Amego, he began making regular visits, thanks to the dedication and compassion of the remarkable team at 209. Words cannot adequately convey how deeply grateful I am for all you do. When my sister from Ukraine visited 209, she remarked on how warm and inviting the environment felt, saying it truly felt like home. And it melts my heart to hear Peter refer to it as his home—a sentiment he never expressed about any other residence he’s lived in over the years.
I understand the immense challenges of your work, and I admire the tireless effort and boundless love you bring to it every day. What you do is nothing short of God’s work.
From the depths of my heart, I thank you all for being the extraordinary individuals you are. Wishing you and your families a joyous, healthy, and peaceful holiday season. - With love and gratitude, Elena"
"Time for a Sheridan Staff shout out! For the first time we had the residents and the on shift staff over for dinner and a little TV time! The staff worked their magic with the residents, helping out with direction to clean up their plates, put dishes in dishwasher etc. The guys were perfect guests and it was great to share a meal and get to know eachother a bit more! So, Gene,Kaye and another young lady on shift deserve special recognition for taking the time to help this dinner run so perfectly! They obviously have a wonderful rapport with our guys!
Thank you to all Sheridan Staff - Linda Auger"
"Hello Birch Street, Thank you for an awesome visit on Saturday. And it was outstanding to see our old friend Solomon working the Saturday shift. Welcome back Solomon! We missed you! Thank you David for making everything run smoothly during our lunch on the deck and thanks Nicholas and I think it was Emanual for helping me charge my iPhone so Josh and I could complete his Amazon order. So much fun this week! Already looking forward to next week! Thank you guys for all that you do for Josh! We are so grateful.-- Love, Rose and Darren Marino"
“I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of my son's Peter home. As a single Mom, I struggled for many years to find support for my son. I am so glad I found Amego (and late Paul Mahoney worked tirelessly for 3 years to make sure it would be a good fit for Peter). Amego staff who work with my son are kind, professional, dedicated, loving caring people, and I am so grateful for their hard work and love they give to our family. And it is not by accident that Peter's life improved immensely over the last few years he spent at Amego. I see him calmer, happier; Peter is able to visit our home in Natick (after more than 10 years of not seeing it due to behavior problems and lack of support), go on day trips, visit his doctors and have a better quality of life. I know it is not an easy job, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to kind people who care for my son - Kwabena, Emmanuel and Emmanuel, Cathryn, Randy, Solomon, Fred and many others who I have not met in person, but who also provide loving care to my son Peter. From the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU! God bless you all. – Elena”
"We want to let Rosie know how much we appreciate her. She always has a smile on her face and love in her eyes. I am so grateful for how she cares for Tommo and brings a sense of calm to his days. Thank you Rosie for being the amazing person you are! - Russ and Karen Raposa"
I have seen the coming and goings of other house managers over the almost 20 years Joe has lived there and have never seen anyone so dedicated to the progress of each one of those guys. He has been through many difficult and joyous time (health scares, deaths, sad and celebrations) with all of them and has been a rock in their lives. I always knew he would be a wonderful asset to the company, and I am so happy with how everything is going and that Amego the foresight to make the right decision with promoting him. He gives much comfort to my family and I knowing that Joseph’s care is in his hands. I have seen some of the former house managers and the turnover that is common in this industry and this man stays certainly not for the money, but out of sincere love and care for these gentlemen.
I recently had Joe’s ISP meeting in which myself, Kandeh and the Grow Association Inc. program all participated. I was absolutely blown away at his knowledge of my brother and his needs and medical information without even having to consult any sort of paperwork. He knows and cares for these guys so much and his 15 years of service to them is a testament to his commitment and to his character. I sat in this ISP meeting and listened to a DDS case manager who didn’t know and couldn’t answer one question about my brother and was reminded at how lucky my family and all the families with clients at West Street truly are to have this man in charge.
I have worked as public-school special educator and special education administrator for 25 years and now in my final years before retirement for the Department of Mental Health and have seen how awful some of the homes are for people disabilities and seen uncaring and disinterested staff and know how lucky we are to have the group home and house manager we have been given. I know that people don’t often take the time to state when things are going well or give recognition when it’s due and after seeing Kandeh this evening when picking up my brother and the challenging issues he is faced with in dealing with an aging disabled population I felt compelled to express my gratitude to Amego Inc. and to Kandeh. I don’t know what your company does to recognize exceptional employees, but I certainly hope he is recognized in some way a result of this letter. I know people are always quick to complain or call when upset and believe me I have dealt with that throughout my career, and I know how important it is to write to recognize exceptional care and service. Thank you for all you do as well. - Respectfully, Kevin F. Coyne and the entire Coyne Family"

"I now we continue to send these Shout Outs about Marty at Stone Run, but he truly needs to be recognized. Marty goes above and beyond EVERY DAY when he cares for our son Tommo. I could create a long list of what he does, but here are the highlights: Sending photos and videos to us and to Tommo's extended family so they can stay in touch with him and know how he spends his days, Calling us when Tommo asks for Mommy of Daddy, Ensuring he gets physical activity outdoors even in the rain and Tommo loves it!, Coming up with the idea to offer Tommo warm milk at night to help him settle to sleep.....and the list could go on... We just can't thank Marty enough for his thoughtfulness, kindness and creativity in caring for our son. We are grateful beyond words. - Russ and Karen"
"Our Josh is back! We were worried about him last week after our visit. The pulled tooth had him down and out last week, but today he was great! He enjoyed all the food that we brought. And was in an excellent mood. Thank you for taking such good care of him and nursing him back to his own self after the surgery. You guys are the best. And congratulations to Ebrima for stopping smoking. Great job! We are so grateful for all of you. Have a great rest of the weekend. - All of our love, Rose and Darren"

"Hi Everyone, Darren and I just want to give a huge thank you to Francis and his team at Birch Street for taking our Josh to the oral surgeon today for a tooth extraction. It was so great to hear that everything went well. You all are so wonderful to Josh and I’m sure you made him feel loved and comfortable getting the procedure done today. Thank you for all that you do each and every day. We are so grateful. - Sending all of our love, Rose and Darren"
"Hi guys, Thanks for a great visit with our Josh on Saturday. He looked great. Good luck at the oral surgeon tomorrow. Probably the worst part for Josh is when they give him the local shot to numb the tooth. Just tell him it’s going to be a little pinch and it might hurt a little. We really appreciate all that you do for Josh. If you think you need us tomorrow, just text us. - Take care, all of our love, Rose and Darren"
"We just have to give Marty another Shout Out. When we picked up Tommo, Marty was willing to learn how to improve when he uses a toothbrush and floss with Tommo. I asked him to show me what he does already which was very good and then Marty was interested and asked questions about how to do it better. All I can say is WOW!!! AND Thank You Marty....from Tommo!!! - Russ and Karen"

"I would like to commend Paul, Nana, Melvin and Godfrey for all their help and support with my son Billy to draw/do his annual bloodwork. This is one of the most difficult tasks for Billy and the staff along with Paul's leadership and guidance resulted in a huge success on Monday March 7th, 2022!!! This bloodwork was really important due to his medical issues at this time. Both the staff at Quest Diagnostic and Paul, Nana, Napolean, and Godfrey were so very excited and proud of him! They took Billy for a treat and Paul called me with the wonderful news! Nana placed a medal around Billy's neck and he was smiling, he knew he did it! She also sent me photos showing Billy with his award and smiling! It made my day and my week! Thank you again for helping Billy with this very important task which is not something we all like to do! WELL DONE!! With my sincere appreciation, Angela"

As parents, it is never easy to say goodbye to your child knowing that he has trouble speaking and communicating his needs. Her words mean more than she will ever know and we want to thank her for all her support. - Russ and Karen Raposa"

We discussed how this time of year is always extremely difficult for him and that we think it has a lot to do with his allergies. Her list included additional baths and showers during the day to calm him, keeping the windows closed in his bedroom and his door closed if windows are open in the house, and the idea for an air purifier. It is a difficult combination, but Sarah does it with such grace, care and concern for his overall well being. "A huge thank you to Momar for keeping us involved in the joyful moments that Tommo has when he is at Norton. Last night we mentioned that Tommo loves the movie Mary Poppins and that it was actually on TV at that moment. Momar went above and beyond and took the time to call us back on FaceTime so we could see that Tommo was enjoying the movie. It is a very rare occasion to see Tommo watching TV and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Thanks so much Momar!" -Russ and Karen Raposa
"We want Cameron to know how much he means to us and to Tommo. The list of ways he has helped us goes on and on and on, but yesterday he took the time to have Tommo call us via FaceTime because it was Nana’s birthday dinner with just her daughters and she was beyond thrilled to see Tommo. In addition, when Tommo is with Cameron, he truly lights up. I know he considers Cameron to be more than just a support provider, he sees him as a friend. Cameron has a special way of understanding what Tommo is thinking and what he needs. I know he means the world to Tommo so all three of us want to say THANK YOU Cameron for all you do everyday!" -Russ and Karen Raposa
"2020 has been such a challenging year for so many. We can think of very few people who have overcome greater challenges during the world's ongoing COVID-19 crisis than the Amego professionals. During this season of Thanksgiving, we reflect on our many blessings and upon Amego in particular.
As the Northborough Day Hab has been gearing up under extraordinary circumstances, we rely heavily upon the expertise of Kevin, Jonathan, Chris, nurse Krystal, and their teams. They have proven not only their ability to teach but to capably tend to medical emergencies.
Both of our sons' homes were hit by COVID, and were bravely managed through the ordeals through well researched health leadership policies and careful planning and communication. Those impacted are now healthy and we have Jennifer C, Krystal and the staff of dedicated selfless nurses, Craig P, Paul M, Solomon N and Geraldine O to thank for your capable and selfless leadership.
The talented staff members of Amego homes also work in the Day Hab environment to provide as seamless an experience as possible for all clients. This year, their jobs have involved a greater deal of personal risk and self-sacrifice than we can imagine. We are beyond grateful to all of you.
The Meadow Brook House is adeptly managed by Stephen A. and features a talented staff of professionals, namely Stephen B, Stephen K, Judith A, Winnifred O, William “Abraham” H, and Connie Y. Thank you to this team for caring so deeply for your clients and their home.
The seasoned team of the Upton House is managed by Winnie A, whose staff includes Fred A, Louis A-M, Harry A., Paul K, Paul M, Kellen J, and James O. We have been impressed the members of this team, who prove repeatedly that every staff member knows the needs, preferences, habits and communication nuances of each individual in their care. From the heart, “Great job!”
Please accept our deepest gratitude for your care and expertise, as well as your open and frequent communication to families. To you and yours, have a happy, healthy Thanksgiving!" - Rob, Kathy, Sean and Joey Sutherland

We also appreciate the attention to his diet to be sure he is receiving appropriate food and drink that will reduce his risk of tooth decay. We know how much work it is to be sure these things are getting done routinely and we are thrilled that his dentist gave him a glowing report this past Saturday! She was able to take x-rays and prove that he has NO CAVITIES. She also said she hopes that all the staff at his house are teaching the staff at the other houses because she was totally impressed...especially since they were in full control for several months during the pandemic this year. WAY TO GO NORTON STAFF!! We love you and Tommo says he loves you and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" -Russ and Karen Raposa

"Once again Ashley took the time to put himself in our son Tommo's shoes to think about how he would feel and what would he want if he was upset. Late last night when Tommo woke up from a sound sleep and he was crying tears, Ashley did not hesitate to ask him if he wanted to talk with Mom & Dad. When Ashley called us we were able to help Tommo settle down so he could go back to sleep. It was clear when Ashley recently went on vacation that Tommo missed his support buddy. It takes a special person to take care of someone who can't speak for themselves and Ashley is that special person!!!! Our family is blessed to have him in our lives and I know Tommo agrees!" - Karen and Russ Raposa

"To all the outstanding and amazing caregivers at Morse Street~~~~~~~~~
It is difficult to put into words how much you all mean to our entire family.
We know how challenging your work is. You are caring for individuals who can't express their needs and then feelings of gratitude and love for all that you do for them.
Your dedication and conscientious care of our daughter mean everything in the world to us. We wish that we could care for Mary on our own but as time went on we and other professionals realized that there was a better way. That meant finding a supportive, caring environment for Mary outside of our home. It was a difficult and challenging decision but discovering Amego and the staff that they select changed our lives. Because of all of you Mary continues to be a very happy person....we know this because....she looks forward to returning to her house after weekend visits (pre-COVID); she loves going to the ("school") Day Program; she loves her routine; and she loves ALL her caring staff. You are doing an amazing job and we will be forever grateful. We wish all good things for you and your families because you are guardian angels who are doing Gods work here on Earth.
Again you all mean the word to us and we love you." - John and Molly
"Thank you all for your continued sacrifice taking great care of my son Jacob and all the others! You are truly a Blessing!" - June Hayes

Under ordinary circumstances I would not be able to do what you do everyday. Now, during extraordinary times I want to say I am thinking of you and the care and attention that must be even more challenging. Junior, you took over leadership at the Millis house and from my end, it seems like your calm, caring attention to all matters is winning out. You must know that Cole loves you and being around you. Sosa, you are there through thick and thin and that means a great deal to everybody. I hope you let more of that laugh, and smile out cause it makes everybody feel good. Drew, sometimes I think I hear your voice and then I realize, no, I'm safe down here in Attleboro! Ha ha!
