Adult Services Admission Overview
Amego provides day and residential services to adults ages 22 and above. Individuals we serve are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities that impact social, behavioral, and intellectual development.
Referrals are accepted from funding sources, typically the Department of Developmental Services. Referrals for either day or residential programs should be submitted to Penny Potter, Chief Program Development Officer, ppotter@amegoinc.org.
To ensure successful placements, all referrals are reviewed by the clinical services team. If an appropriate opening within the agency is identified, a member of the clinical services team will coordinate a visit to meet the individual and their providers in their home or current placement. Every effort is made to identify the most suitable day program and residential placement at Amego. Families are encouraged to connect with Amego early in the referral process to evaluate whether Amego is a suitable match. Once placement is finalized, a transition meeting is scheduled, at which time an admission date is set.
